July 19th Spotlight Prayers

Sunday 19th July – Sixth Sunday after Trinity

Collect

Merciful God,
you have prepared for those who love you
such good things as pass our understanding:
pour into our hearts such love toward you
that we, loving you in all things and above all things,
may obtain your promises,
which exceed all that we can desire;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.

  1. Please pray for members and leaders of Blaze, our teenage youth group; pray for good relationships and friendships within and across the groups during this Coronavirus period.
  2. Lord we pray for all those suffering from Covid 19.  We pray for those fighting the disease at home and those in hospital as well as those who care for them.  We pray for family and friends who have been unable to visit their loved ones.   May speedy progress be made with finding appropriate medication and the vaccination to save more from suffering.
  3.  Pray for our local WI group, give thanks for the friendship and support offered to those in need.  We give thanks for the face masks which the members have been making to help protect us from Coronavirus.
  4. Please pray for Alan & Alice Emery who celebrate their first wedding anniversary tomorrow.  Pray that they will continue to encourage and support one another as they learn & grow together as a couple
  5. Pray for all who live in Armstrong Lane and Sutton Place.
