We can be thankful that God answers our prayers
John 11:41b
Then Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, thank you for hearing me.”

We can be thankful for God’s provision for our needs
1 Timothy 4:4-5
Since everything God created is good,
we should not reject any of it but receive it with thanks. 
For we know it is made acceptable by the word of God and prayer.

We can be thankful for God’s blessings
Philippians 4:6
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.
Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

We can be thankful for God’s character and wondrous works
Revelation 11:17
And they said,
“We give thanks to you, Lord God, the Almighty, the one who is and who always was,
       for now you have assumed your great power and have begun to reign.”

We can be thankful for our brothers and sisters in Christ
Ephesians 1:16
 I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly.
