Christ when I arise to the new day,
Christ when I arise to the new opportunity,
Christ when I arise above temptation,
Christ when I arise above the storms,
Christ when I arise from all that would depress me,
Christ when I arise from death Christ when I arise to your presence.

Thanks be to thee ever, O gentle Christ
That thou has raised me freely from the black,
