December was a busy month.

We started off with the Christmas Tree Festival which raised nearly £1,000 for local charities and it was great to see so many local businesses and organisations take part. Lots of gifts were donated for underprivileged children at the Toy Service, and were collected the following day by a local charity for distribution. We celebrated Christmas with a number of different services in church and in school. We sung carols in the village and prepared, and served lunch to 30 local residents on Christmas Day in the Church Hall. The Royal British Legion in conjunction with Woodpeckers Nursing Home saw Operation Candlelight place a candle on each of the 110 war graves at St Nicholas’ Church on Christmas Eve.
