John 14:16-17
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate
   to help you and be with you for ever – the Spirit of truth.
The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him.
But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

 Father in my waiting,
   give me hope. 
 Jesus in my wanting,
   give me strength.
 And Spirit in my longing,
   give me the truth of God’s promises written over my life.
Help me today to embrace the silence which precedes
   and invites the rushing wind and fire of Your presence.
In stillness, I wait for you, O, Lord. Amen.
