2 Corinthians 4:18 NLT

So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now;
rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen.
For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

To walk with Jesus means we must take our eyes off ourselves and look on him to lead.
To walk consciously with Jesus means we go in the same direction he sets and at his pace.
This may prove costly.
It may mean we are led where we don’t want to go.

To walk with Jesus will require constant confession of our sin as our proximity to divinity
exposes the shadows and cobwebs of our lives.
We walk with God down the avenue of prayer.

Hippocrates said Walking is the best medicine.
Walking is the best medicine for our bodies
and walking with God is the best medicine for our souls.

When Shackleton and his colleague were on a perilous journey over the ice
they were aware of a strange accompanying presence.
Who is the third who walks beside you?
When I count, there are only you and I together.
But when I look ahead up the white road, there is always another one walking beside you.

There is always another walking beside you – the Lord, inviting you: Walk with me.
Jesus walked along the Galilee shoreline and called people to him.
Jesus walked to the disciples on the stormy sea and dispelled their luring fears.
Jesus walked beside the mourners on the Emmaus Road and set their hearts on fire.

Jesus invitation is for everyone: Walk with me.
