Ever faithful God, your Son so often calmed the fears
of those who should have trusted him;
Give us honesty to:
acknowledge our dependencies,
courage to face our fears,
and the strength to trust ourselves to others.
Give us the humility to place our faith in you,
so that we can find the perfect love that casts out all fear.
And lead us into the freedom that is found in Christ,
our friend and brother. Amen
