First Word from the Cross – Father, forgive them ….

Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.

These words start with Jesus forgiveness.
The forgiveness is not dependent on repentance – it is given without condition.
We could not face the crucifixion and the cost of our sins if we did not hear these words first.

Forgiveness is not God forgetting Good Friday.

Our sins and weaknesses need to be brought to the foot of the cross, so that we can be redeemed.
