Here in Brockenhurst we are celebrating the 150th anniversary since the birth of the Mothers’ Union, with a display of ‘planted’ knitted & crocheted blue and yellow flowers in the grounds of St. Saviour’s Church, during the month of August. We already have over 250 flowers, but would like more, so if you are able to knit or crochet flowers, please contact the church office (624584) for a pattern. We are extremely grateful to the ladies of Woodpeckers Care Home who have knitted 140 flowers for us. There will be workshops to begin mounting flowers on to stakes at 2.30 in the Church Hall on Thursday 14th and 28th May, so please do come along – many hands make light work! There will be tea and cake too!
