When Paul gave his testimony to Timothy, he presented it as a story of God’s patience:
1 Timothy 1:15-16 NIV
Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance:
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.
But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners,
Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.
In Christ, your life, like Paul’s, tells a story of divine patience.
God was patient with you as you wandered from him — scorning his Son, scarcely giving him or his gospel a thought. He is patient with you now, as you daily find need for forgiveness.
And he will be patient with you tomorrow, and the next day, and until the day of Jesus Christ,
when he finally finishes the good work he’s begun.
Philippians 1:6 NLT
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you,
will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

And so … let us pray for and work to grow the fruit of patience in our life
