In order for Wednesday Lunches to continue in the long term, we do need a regular injection of younger helpers as many of our current volunteers, although still fit and able, are of an age when they really should be receiving the meals, not cooking and serving them!  

We particularly need help on 2nd Wednesdays, and we are looking for a co-leader and also help with cooking and serving (a once-a-month commitment in school term time only). 

In addition, we need two Wednesday Lunch drivers to complete our team of 24 volunteers. Again, this is a once-a-month commitment, and lunches only operate in term time. It involves picking-up 3 guests from within the village, taking them to the Church Hall for approximately 12.15, and then returning them home afterwards at 13.45

Our drivers, some of whom have been involved as volunteers for many years, find the task extremely rewarding – mainly because our guests are all lovely and very appreciative!
